The City of Farmington is accepting applications for an HR/Payroll Specialist.
The schedule for this position is Monday - Friday from 8:00 a.
m.
- 4:30 p.
m.
Typical duties include but are not limited to implementing employee recruitment and retention programs, processing employee payroll on a bi-weekly basis, and administering employee pay plans, safety programs and other HR related functions.
This position also serves as the Deputy Municipal Court Clerk, which typically includes taking incoming calls and payments when the Court Clerk is out of the office and assisting with arraignment dockets.
Arraignment dockets are held twice a month on a Wednesday and start at 5:30 p.
m.
A bachelor's degree in human resources, public administration, business administration or a combination of related education, experience, and training is required.
A minimum of 2 years of experience in human resources and benefit management is required.
The ability to communicate clearly and concisely with staff and the community both verbally and in writing is essential.
SHRM-CP or PHR Certification is preferred.
Starting pay is $19.
00 per hour with an excellent benefit package.
Pay will increase to $19.
75 per hour after successful completion of the 6-month probationary period.
