SUMMARY The Compliance Administrator is responsible for assisting the Environmental Compliance Manager in ensuring regulatory compliance for all company owned assets.
Primary responsibilities include Petroleum Storage Tank Insurance Fund (PSTIF) policy renewals, tracking and scheduling of compliance testing, compliance record retention, regulatory reporting, and permit applications, as well as any other administrative responsibilities of the Facilities Environmental Compliance Division.
RESPONSIBILITIES BY COMPETENCY: (*denotes an essential function of the position) Business Results Orientation *Maintain UST Registrations, PSTIF or other UST insurance fund policies, Tier II reports, and other environmental documents in a current status by meeting required submission deadlines *Maintain environmental compliance testing schedule for all Company Owned – Company Operated (COCO) and Company Owned – Dealer Operated (CODO) sites as well as assisting with Wholesale Dealer Owned – Dealer Operated (DODO) customers electing environmental compliance services options *Schedule environmental compliance testing in advance of due date for all required testing including but not limited to line leak detectors, cathodic protection testing, tank lining inspections, pressure decay testing, containment sump, spill bucket, and overfill testing and inspections *Prepare Environmental Compliance Services Agreements for new environmental compliance customers *Assist Environmental Compliance Manager in obtaining estimates for and scheduling repairs to UST systems *Assist Environmental Compliance Manager with fuel complaint investigation *Maintain level A/B certification in Missouri and Illinois *Assist Environmental Compliance Manager with tracking critical dates in real estate documents *Provide timely response to administrative requests of the Facilities Environmental Compliance Division *Maintain regular attendance and follow designated safety practices *Perform other duties not listed as required Communication *Ensure professional image in all internal and external written correspondence *Display strong telephone skills to communicate in a professional and effective manner *Ask probing questions to collect all necessary information and get at the root cause of issues *Keep supervisor informed of problems and opportunities that can affect performance levels and business results *Ensure SharePoint and /or any other document storage systems, as well as relevant software, is updated with accurate and current information related to environmental compliance Customer Service Orientation *Communicate with customer contacts in a professional and efficient manner *Respond promptly to all customer inquiries and follow through to ensure satisfaction *Maintain Company’s best in class reputation within the regulatory community through positive working relationships Developing Talent *Promote team development, enthusiasm and pride *Challenge oneself to further develop skills that relates to the position *Maintain level A/B certification in Missouri and IL Technical Expertise *Monitor daily UST/AST systems through remote access software and/or tank inventory records, track and report on overfills, archive required records for tank and line leak detection and report and/or resolve alarm indications *Monitor and maintain relevant online forms including, but not limited to the Impressed Current Rectifier Logs and Monthly Walkthrough Inspection Logs *Assist Environmental Compliance Manager with maintenance of SharePoint site for Environmental Compliance documents *Keep apprised of regulatory requirements enabling assistance with NOV prevention *Assist with Compliance Service when needed, including creating Compliance Service Contracts *Ensure paper and electronic files are organized to most effectively manage documents and comply with appropriate retention guidelines *Adhere to all Wallis Companies safety policies and report all safety incidents to supervisor immediately SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES This position has no direct reports.

(*denotes an essential qualification of the position) Education: *Required: Equivalent to high school diploma Preferred: Additional specialized training in a related field Experience: *Over 1 year up to and including 3 years experience with Regulatory Compliance and Records Management Language Skills: *Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English in a manner that is sufficient for effective communication with groups of managers, clients, customers and the general public Skills and Abilities: (May be representative but not all-inclusive of those commonly associated with the position) *Intensive knowledge of a specialty field and the use of a wide range of procedures.
*Ability to use own judgment in the analysis of facts and circumstances surrounding individual problems and transactions and in the determination of actions to be taken within the limits of standard or accepted practice.

Technology, Tools, And Equipment: *Computer, *Microsoft Office Suite, *telephone, *copier/fax/printer Certificates, Licenses and/or Registrations: Maintain Level A/B UST Operator Certificate in Missouri and Illinois.
