*Who We Are Looking For*
The ideal candidate is someone who can plan, direct and oversee all bar and bistro operations including hiring and managing staff, ensuring product and service standards are met and implementing and maintaining procedures for maximum operating efficiency.
The candidate should be visionary, working with the leadership team to build the brand concept from the ground up.
Should be able to work autonomously, as the leadership team does not live in town.
Able to manage a wide variety of responsibilities including, managing bar tenders, servers, baristas, and housekeepers; as being the on-sight, point-of-contact person for the rental units above the bar as well.
*Main Job Duties and Responsibilities*
* Helps set objectives and targets
* Determine staff needs and recruit, train, and hold staff accountable.
Using key metrics and documentation
* Identify opportunities and pain points to meet objectives and maximize resources
* Maintains quality and service standards
* Helps to write and uphold performance standards and procedures
* Oversees the preparation and presentation of food & beverages to meet set standards
* Provides superior customer service and resolve any complaints promptly
* Monitors and maintains entire facility's cleanliness and environment standards
* Promotes and practices compliance with fire, health, safety and hygiene standards and regulations
* Oversees accurate cash reporting and procedures
* Monitor and order supplies.
Maintaining healthy Cost of Goods Sold
* Liaise with suppliers and sales representatives
* Confirm that procurement of supplies is on the best possible terms
* Make certain all deliveries are checked in correctly and documentation is correct
* Regular inventory and reporting
* Oversee the bar and retail displays to maximize functionality and attractiveness
* Plan and implement cost control measures
* Plan and implement systems to maximize sales and revenue
* Help plan and organize promotional activities
* Generate and present financial reports
* Implement improvements for products and service
* Maintain regular communication with staff and management through meetings and discussions
* Stay current with relevant legislation regarding service of alcohol, sale of tobacco and licensing
*Skills and Experience*
* High School Diploma
* Minimum of 2 years working in the food & beverage industry required
* Minimum of 1 year working as a general manager or equivalent position preferred
* Knowledge of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages and food
* Knowledge of cost control procedures
* Knowledge of human resource management practices

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $30,000.
00 - $45,000.
