is a custom machine shop leading the industry in thermosets and thermoplastics.
We are seeking a qualified *Milling Production Lead* for our machine shop on 1st shift.
* 1st Shift is from 7am - 4pm Monday through Friday.
* Overtime and weekend work may be required or asked as job duties demand.
*Job Description:* *EARN A $500 SIGN-ON BONUS WHEN YOU JOIN OUR TEAM!* As a Milling Department Lead, you will be responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining CNC machines to manufacture nonmetallic parts.
You will be responsible for checking parts and working alongside the QC department and engineering department to ensure production is efficient and conforming to all applicable standards.
The equipment you will be responsible for consists of (3) Doosan machining centers and (3) Mazak machining centers.
The machines range in complexity from 3 axis vertical mills to 9 axis multi task mill turn machines.
All programs are made in our engineering department and the lead is responsible for providing feedback and working with engineering to optimize and improve all production operations.
Required Knowledge and Skills: ● High School Diploma or GED ● 3+ years of experience as a CNC machinist ● Proficiency in G code for editing and understanding programs.
● Ability to interpret customer drawings and work flows ● Experience with setting up CNC mills (preferably Fanuc and Mazak controllers) ● Knowledge of business and management principles involved in strategic planning, resource allocation, leadership techniques, and production methods.
● Understand how to work with a team.
Must be able to motivate employees and encourage a positive working environment while amplifying productivity ● Ability to deal with problems and make decisions involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
● Knowledge of production processes, quality control, costs, and other techniques for maximizing the effective manufacture and distribution of goods ● Advanced understanding of material identification and purpose ● Understand how to maximize equipment efficiency Job Type: Full-time Pay: From $20.
