Activity Director

*We are seeking a compassionate and experienced Activity Director for our Silverstone Longterm Care facility in Rolla, MO.
* *Activity Director Qualifications* * Previous experience as an Activities Director or comparable preferred * Long term care experience is a plus *Activity Director Duties and Responsibilities* * Coordinate with other department the needs of the residents with diversion and creative activities * Coordinate, Plan, and direct the activities program * Conduct activities within the physician’s orders * Participate in the development and implementation of the assessment process and the residents care plan * Review and adjust the care plan as needed with residents change in condition * Attend care plan meeting and fill out the activities sections of the MDS 3.
0 * Recruit acts and entertainment for the residents that are within the scope of the facility clients * Maintain a budget for entertainment and for staffing * Follow the regulations as outlined by CMS and DHSS * Maintain a balance of recreational activities including physical, social, religious, diversional, intellectual and creative art and crafts * Maintain and conduct with the cooperation of Social Service the Resident council * Be sure that all activities are covering the needs of the majority of the residents * Monitor staff for infection control * Interview the residents upon admission * Document in the residents’ physical chart the progress of the residents in activities * Prepare and print the monthly calendar and distribute to the residents of the facility * Distribute mail and assist residents in need with opening and reading * Prepare the monthly large print calendar for halls * Assist in the dining room(s) during meal times as needed * Maintain a professional image * Maintain and manage staff as needed including staffing calendar and monitoring overtime.
