Job Overview
New Product Development Supervisors which is responsible for the development of new products .
This role will be responsible for facilitating the on-time completion of new product development projects, streamline production processes, reduce costs, decrease errors, meet deadlines, and supervise employees.
Assist in developing more cost-effective processes for reducing waste while increasing productivity and encourage employee satisfaction.
Must be able to develop methods to utilize personnel and resources in the best possible way and determine when additional staff or equipment is needed or eliminated.
A Day In The Life
Oversees and/or conducts training of new or existing employees to ensure competency in their department
Supervise employees in the NP/Molding area to ensure safety, quality, and productivity
Implements procedures and makes adjustments as necessary to produce products within specifications
Monitors quality of incoming raw materials and finished products
Develops and recommends improvements of facilities, equipment , or procedures to improve safety, quality, and efficiency
Logging and reporting production progress to production manager
Updating and verifying training records on your employees
Reviewing and authorizing employee’s hours, time off, and adjusting their work schedule to meet the production needs
Resolve and eliminate conflicts quickly by helping determine the appropriate discipline or corrective action to be taken
What will help you thrive in this role?
Previous experience leading people or teams of 10+
Planning: Ability to plan over a 30-day time span and prepare action plans to achieve results.
Supervisor, including employee hiring and retention, performance review and discipline.
Monitor and maintain attendance records and in E-time.
Preferred experience in inventory management and production recording in SAP
Read, use, and understanding of measuring devices.
Proper use of multiple hand / power tools
Ability to stand for extensive periods of time.
Must be able to work independently and foster teamwork with others.
