The Program Director is directly responsible for the coordination and administrative supervision of the program's operations and services to ensure quality services.
They are directly responsible for the coordination and administrative supervision over substance use disorder program's operations and services.
They will exercise supervision of staff who are responsible for implementing specific phases of a program's services.
The Program Director works with considerable independence within established corporate policies, under the supervision of the Director of Substance Use Recovery for the region in which the residential program is located in.
This position oversees our Navig8 co-occurring, adolescent program.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS – JOB SPECIFIC:
• Coordinates through assignment to and supervision of staff, the referral, transfer screening/intake, assessment, discharge, and follow-up processes.
• Reviews and monitors the clinical charts of the staff, on at least twice a month, to assure quality service delivery (i.
e.
individualized treatment, effectiveness of methods).
• Maintains a role in the community through public speaking, community, outreach, marketing calls, liaison to referral sources, and serving as a professional resource for the community.
• Maintains targeted client capacity.
• Provides back up to staff during/after emergency calls and situations.
• Leads clinical staffing meetings held at the program; reviews the records and forms (i.
e.
the clinical chart) completed on each case presented to assure appropriate care coordination of services delivered; signs off on appropriately documented charts.
• Conducts clinic administrative staff meetings, presenting information on clinic service delivery and other issues relevant to the staff to assure efficient service delivery.
• Completes AIM discussions and end of the year AIM for each staff member under his/her supervision, per agency guidelines.
• Supervises licensed or credentialed counselors, ART Technician Supervisor, Integrated Health Specialist (IHS) and residential nurse.
Will oversee and/or collaborate for the supervision efforts of other staff involved with the program operations.
Maintains employee records including time sheets, leave requests, coaching, success plans, training logs, supervision logs, utilization, etc.
• Coordinates in-service trainings.
• Although driving is not an essential function of the position, a valid license and agency established minimum automobile coverage are required in the event the employee drives during employment.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY:
• Oversees day-to-day operations and tasks of supervisees
• Completes performance development/AIM process
• Time card management – manages time sheets
• Ensures progress and development is made toward departmental strategic plan goals
WORKING CONDITIONS & EXPOSURE RISK:
Regular exposure to biohazard waste materials
Job Requirements
EDUCATION:
• Master’s degree in social work, counseling, health, or a closely related field
WORK EXPERIENCE:
• At least two (2) years’ experience required in the provision of direct services related to substance abuse treatment, rehabilitation, and/ or family counseling.
• Experience in program administration required
LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION:
• PLPC, LPC, LMSW, LCSW, LMFT, PLP, LP required
