Position Purpose:
The House Supervisor 1 is the link for communication between the House Supervisor 2 and the Behavioral Health Technician department.
Responsible for efficient job activities of Behavioral Health Technician department staff.
Provides supervision, monitoring, training, and evaluation of Behavioral Health Technicians in accordance with Agency policies and personnel policies and procedures.
The House Supervisor 1, while on shift, ensures the smooth, efficient flow of communication among all staff.
Must respect and maintain confidentiality of all aspects of client treatment.
Must be able to make sound decisions under pressure and display a take-charge attitude with staff.
Group management skills are essential.
This position requires the ability to lift a minimum of 50 pounds.
Current certification in CPR/First aid is required.
Ability to provide in-services and staff education programs as required by management.
Must exhibit a professional appearance and work ethic at all times.
Qualifications:
A High School Diploma or GED is required.
Must be over the age of 21.
Must be able to supervise and direct Behavioral Health Technicians in daily duties and responsibilities.
Must have a good working knowledge of procedures for the Medication Room and for treating clients in Detox.
Must be trained in non-violent intervention of client crisis.
Reliable judgment, good observation skills, dependability, and honest, forthright demeanor are required.
Must possess highly developed verbal and written communication skills.
Class E Driver’s License is required.
Flexibility to perform shift work is essential.
Requires the ability to accurately record and communicate diverse information and monitor information recorded by other technicians for accuracy and content.
Ability to use computer programs such as Microsoft Office is beneficial.
Must pass background check provided for the agency by the U.
S.
Department of Justice and the Family Care Safety Registry which includes the Missouri State Highway Patrol, Department of Social Services, Department of Mental Health and Department of Health and Senior Services.
Must not be on any “do not hire” list with the Department of Mental Health or the Missouri Division of Family Services.
Must have reliable transportation.
