Operations Manager for Paving Company

*Operations Manager for Paving Company* Hotshot Asphalt in Union, Missouri is seeking an Operations Manager to oversee our Paving and Sealcoating Crews.
We are a family-owned, 40 year-old business, providing commercial and residential services in multiple counties.
The Operations Manager will be responsible for managing projects and providing crew leadership as follows: * Provide technical knowledge for paving and sealing.
* Give input in job scheduling.
* Prepare work orders.
* Schedule job logistics: Underground utilities inspections, subcontractors, etc.
* Order asphalt and subcontract hauling daily.
* Review work orders with foremen before start and after completion of jobs.
* Provide all projects with the appropriate manpower, equipment, resources, and direction.
* Inspect job sites prior to commencement of work to review site requirements.
* Paint/stake project footprint as needed.
* Inspect job sites daily during construction for quality control and productivity.
* Inspect job sites after work is completed for quality control and cleanliness.
* Perform job cost analysis (planned versus actual costs).
* Manage equipment repairs and maintenance.
* Purchase operational supplies & repair parts.
* Maintain facility and property (oversee organization, cleaning, repairs, upgrades).
* Assist in hiring for work crews.
* Train crew members.
* Manage safety program.
* Assist in estimating (lead visits and takeoffs) as time allows.
* Interact with Customers as needed.
* Some computer skills required.
Please Note: This position may evolve over time, depending on Company needs and Employee’s skill set.
Prior asphalt paving/ construction and understanding of construction methods required.
Pay will be based on experience.
Must live locally.
