A Medical Technologist at Mercy Hospital Jefferson will operate as a generalist working in the following areas - Hemotology, Urine and Coag, Chemistry, and Blood Bank.
This position qualifies for a $10,000 sign on bonus!
Full Time - Evenings - 2pm-10:30pm
Overview:
Performs and interprets analysis on patient specimens through the use of complex laboratory techniques.
Provides medical staff with information to aid in patient diagnosis.
Performs duties and responsibilities in a manner consistent with our mission, values, and Mercy Service Standards.
Medical Technologist I Qualifications:
Education: Associate degree
Certifications: MLT certification OR Bachelors degree, in a major that meets a certification agencys requirements OR Completion of a 50 week U.
S.
military medical laboratory training course
Preferred Education: Bachelor's degree preferred.
Preferred Experience: 3 years acceptable clinical laboratory experience
Preferred Certifications: MT(ASCP) or equivalent
Medical Technologist II Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor's degree
Experience: a.
up to 3 years acceptable clinical laboratory experience as a certified MLS/MT or equivalent or b.
certification eligible new MLS graduate
Certifications: Current certification as MT/MLS or categorical certification, through ASCP or equivalent
