Overview:
Following the Nursing Process functions in a variety of roles within the inpatient and outpatient Cardiopulmonary Rehab programs.
Focus is on individual and group patient and family education, and leading individual and group exercise programs.
Responsibilities include functioning as a team leader during patient care and assuming charge of emergency medical situations.
Qualifications:
Education: Graduation from NLN accredited school
Licensure: Licensed Registered Nurse in the State of Missouri.
Certifications: Must have a current American Heart Association Healthcare Provider card or complete a course within their probation period.
Must have a current ACLS card or complete an ACLS course within six months of hire date
Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities: Requires knowledge of disease processes and exercise guidelines for special populations.
Must be competent in cardiac rhythm recognition and significance.
Must be able to integrate a variety of disease specific and exercise guideline information with individual patient data.
BLS, AED and ACLS training required.
