Familiarity and willingness to work with elderly population is essential for this role.
Previous experience with medication assistance preferred.
Order, store and assist with medications according to community policy and procedure and current physician orders Maintains and documents in the Medication Assistance Record Provide resident assistance with daily activities in Assisted Living, Memory Care, or both Document care given and daily notes adhering to community policies and procedures Complete Incident Report form as per protocol for any unusual occurrence Maintain current resident record for each resident including but not limited to, obtaining current physician orders, clarifying orders, alert, and monthly charting Requirements: Minimum requirement of high school diploma or equivalent If under the age of 18 must provide proper work authorization (if applicable) Have to be 18 Insulin certified Completes all state educational requirements pertaining to medication administration Proof of certification Obtain and maintain First Aid certification, Heimlich Maneuver training; facilitated by Spectrum Retirement Communities A big smile, eagerness to learn, and compassion for our Residents Spectrum Retirement Communities, LLC and its affiliated companies are Equal Employment Opportunity employers.
