Certified Medication Technician

Responsibilities: - Administer medications to patients according to prescribed dosages and schedules - Ensure accurate documentation of medication administration and patient response - Monitor patients for any adverse reactions or side effects from medications - Assist with physical examinations and medical procedures as directed by healthcare professionals - Provide basic care and assistance to patients, including assistance with activities of daily living - Maintain a clean and organized medication cart or area - Follow all safety protocols and infection control measures Requirements: - Valid Medication Technician certification or license - Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and common medications - Familiarity with medication administration systems, such as Cerner or similar electronic systems - Ability to accurately document medical information and maintain patient records - Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions precisely - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact with patients, families, and healthcare professionals - Ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods of time - Prior experience in a nursing home or similar healthcare setting is preferred If you are a dedicated Medication Technician who is passionate about providing quality care to patients, we invite you to join our team.
