As the Family Engagement Specialist you will provide parenting education training to parents, Positive Parenting Program (Triple P), and specialized training provided by organization.

What to expect on a given day as a Family Engagement Specialist:
You will facilitate meetings between youth in foster care and biological parents, providing guidance to parents
You will assist group members with integration techniques and application skills
You will facilitate group meetings and encourage participation of members
You will provide information to the foster care team as needed
You will be actively involved in the Continuous Quality Improvement processes and standard.
You will complete 20 hours of annual training, 3 hours of which will be in Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Belonging

You would be a good fit for this position if you:
Have a bachelor’s degree in social work, education, psychology, or sociology
Have teaching and/or training in a related field (preferred)
Can exercise discretion and sound judgment
Able to communicate professionally with coworkers, customers, donors, and vendors
Have basic knowledge of and/or training in the Missouri Foster Care program (preferred)
Can be flexible and adapt to changing needs and time pressures
