Weekend Nurse Supervisor

The Weekend Nurse Supervisor acts as the extension of the Director of Nursing for shifts as assigned.
He/She is responsible for coordinating, monitoring, and evaluating the care provided to all residents on their assigned shoft on the weekend.
Essential Job Funtions and Responsbilities Serves as the clinical leader for assigned shift and performs such duties as designated by the Director of Nursing to amintain all essential nursing department functions: Monitor staffing schedule and allocate personnel to meet the needs of the residents.
Functions as a clinical resource, assisting and coaching the staff using nursing process and practice guidelines in making clinical decisions based on data and assessment of the residents.
Ensure the center is managed according to the Center's policies, procedures and protocols.
Is the "person in charge" of the center and directs staff to ensre timely response during emergencies.
Communicates directly with the Administrator when necessary.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Education Registered Nurse, RN required.
Graduate from an accredited school of nursing required.
Experience Two years experience in the ling term care setting At least one year of experience in leadership and supervision of peer staff Excellent interpersonal skills - able to communicate and work weel with others including the elderly, families, and co-workers.
