Overview:
Medical Surgical- Adults & Peds-6th Floor
We are a high-energy, fast-paced 30 bed Medical/Surgical/Adult & Pediatric unit that cares for medical and post-operative patients.
These patients are primarily adults 18 years and older.
However, we also care for approximately 1-2 pediatric patients per month.
Our patient population consists of but not limited to post-op knees, hips, shoulders, colon resections, bariatric surgery, sepsis, pancreatitis, appendectomy, cholecystectomy, and stable pneumothorax.
Our nurse-to-patient ratio is 1:6 with the assistance of Patient Care Associates.
We have an exceptional unit highlighted by coworkers with knowledge, dedication, teamwork, empathy, and compassion.
Medical Surgical- 7th Floor
We are a 30-bed Medical/Surgical Unit.
Our patient population includes GI, Oncology, UTI, Dehydration, Pneumonia, COPD, Wounds, and Post-Op care.
Our nurse-to-patient ratio is 1:6 with Patient Care Associates on the floor to help.

Qualifications:
Education: Graduate of an accredited registered professional nursing program
Licensure: Is personally responsible for obtaining(Must pass NCLEX within 90 days of Graduation Date), and maintaining, a current RN license within the hiring state and/or compact licensure in which nursing duties are performed and must meet all state board of nursing requirements.
Physical requirements/demands: Position requires individuals to push, pull, and/or lift 50 pounds on a regular basis.
Position requires prolonged standing and walking each shift.
Position requires the ability to grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squat to perform duties
Certifications:
ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support)
BLS (Basic Life Support) or successful completion of course within 30 days of hire
Other unit specific certifications as required or or acquisition of certification within department required timeframe.
