Looking for a guitarist for a basement project.
Intermediate to advanced skill level preferred.
Hoping to get something in the djent/progressive metal/jazz-metal fusion territory.
Bands like Periphery, the Human Abstract, The Contortionist, Veil of Maya, Animals as Leaders, Substructure, Chon, Intervals, Intronaut to give a few examples.
Relatively demanding music.
Odd time, polyrhythms, complex rhythms and phrasing, time and tempo changes are common ground.
Just looking to jam for now, and see where it ends up.
I have 20+ yrs on drums and guitar, and a little bit of material and a few ideas to start out with.
Played in several bands as the drummer since 2005-2006 and consistently since.
Always loved playing guitar but never had an opportunity really explore with other guitarists/minds.
I have good gear, a 4x1, 7 and 8 string, a crappy bass, drums and space.
