SUMMARY
A Merchandiser ensures that the shelves of our stores are stocked with products and displays them accordingly for customers.
They also track inventory levels, report any issues or shortages to management, and clean up unwanted items from flagrant violations of in-store decorum.
The Product Merchandiser assists in the training, and coordination of all product merchandising at the store level.
This role has the authority to communicate to store teams and any opportunities for improvement related to product merchandising.
This position assists the Director of Merchandising and Category Managers with ensuring that products are up to brand standards.
The Product Merchandiser acts as a brand ambassador while interacting with customers in stores.
RESPONSIBILITIES BY COMPETENCY: (*denotes an essential function of the position) Business Results Orientation *Adhere to all city, county, and state health department regulations *Ensure the Supervisor is made aware of all operating discrepancies *Perform specific tasks as assigned by Director of Merchandising, trains store teams on merchandising, and quality control, sanitation, par levels, and merchandising deliveries as needed.
*Ensure employees are following product merchandising protocol, including but not limited to temping and logging product guidelines.
*Maintain regular attendance and follow designated safety practices * Perform other duties not listed as required Communication *Train and engage store teams.
*Report all accidents, maintenance issues, and customer incidents to Director of Merchandising immediately and complete proper paperwork and communicate appropriate information to store teams.
*Ensure all communications with customers, suppliers, vendors, co-workers, etc.
is professional and appropriate Customer Service Orientation *Meet all customer needs as efficiently and effectively as possible by providing superior customer service *Advise Supervisor of any employee issues or policy violations affecting store operating performance *Report to work in accordance with company uniform and appearance standards.

Safety *Work diligently to correct safety deficiencies in a timely manner *Complete safety training required for this position *Follow all safety policies and procedures *Inform Director of Merchandising of unsafe conditions and behaviors, and recommend how to correct or eliminate them *Cooperate with the medical provider, and follow the treatment plan and Return-to-Work Program *Work to avoid preventable accidents SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES This position has no direct reports.
