Position Title Vikings Care Assistant
Department Office of Student Compliance
Responsibilities
The Vikings Care Peer Facilitator is responsible for supporting, advocating, implementing, and promoting health, safety, and well-being initiatives that are offered through the Student Compliance Department.
These responsibilities include:
1.
Attend (and receive certification through) NASPA’s Certified Peer Educator Training (provided by the department)
2.
Help to set up and take down for any department event
3.
Assist with increasing awareness of Vikings Care programs
4.
Assist in the creation and implementation of Vikings Care social media and public relations materials
5.
Co-facilitate Vikings Care Programs
6.
Interact with students, faculty, and staff
7.
Exercise confidentiality
Qualifications
Communication skills specific to facilitating effective presentations
Ability to maintain the privacy of what is shared
Pass a background check and be in good standing with the College and community
Current student
Ability to be flexible and adaptable, learn quickly, and be self-motivated
Proficient with the College’s google drive programs and social media outlets
Possess knowledge of basic public relations and marketing principles
