Job Summary We are seeking a Food Service General Manager at Missouri University of Science and Technology in Rolla, MO.
Our General Manager will work closely with our client while managing the daily operations of food production and service at multiple dining locations on campus.
This candidate must have a strong financial background, previous food service management experience, and be able to develop and maintain strong client relations.
Key Responsibilities: Lead, mentor, and inspire a diverse team of associates to achieve operational excellence Foster a positive and inclusive work environment that promotes teamwork, collaboration, and employee development Conduct regular team meetings to communicate goals, expectations, and provide constructive feedback Maintains excellent relationships with students, customers, guests, and clients as well as other departments.
Establish and maintain positive relationships with students on the college campus Collaborate with campus organizations and events to enhance the foodservice experience for students.
Gather feedback from students and incorporate suggestions into the foodservice operations when possible.
Manages financial acumen for all areas including financial reporting with sales reports P&L reports, writing, and adhering to annual budgets and cash handling.
Manages overall day to day operations of the account.
Conducts HR functions including hiring, training, progressive counseling, and terminations.
Manages in compliance with local, state, and federal laws and regulations.
Works with the culinary and management teams in creating innovative menus and providing top quality food offerings.
Provides new programs in conjunction with Chartwells marketing and culinary teams.
Short Description Preferred Qualifications: BS, Hospitality or Culinary degree preferred Five years of foodservice operational/management experience High volume food production and catering experience is essential Previous experience managing and developing a budget Experience in food purchasing, food costs and inventory control Supervisory, scheduling, training, and coaching skills Desire to learn and grow with a top notch foodservice company Apply to Chartwells Higher Education today!
