*JOB DESCRIPTION FOR:* Parts and Accessories Sales Associate *REPORTS TO: *P&A Team Leader or P&A Manager *POSITION INFORMATION: *The P&A Sales Associate is responsible for establishing a friendly and family style relationship with our customers.
In addition they are to help set-up and maintain an appealing and well organized retail environment.
They will assist customers with their shopping and purchase needs.
*DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:* 1) Provide excellent customer service to all of the dealership’s customers.
2) Interface with service technicians and ensure their parts and accessories needs are being met when required.
3) Take service technicians’ orders for parts and fill them as fast as possible as required.
4) Assist service technicians in determining parts & accessories requirements for individual jobs.
5) Recommend related parts and accessories, which may be required for a job.
6) Supply cost of parts information on repair orders and estimates as required.
7) Notify service personnel when special parts or back-ordered parts are received.
8) Assist customers with their selection of merchandise and offer additional product that compliments the purchase.
9) Notify customers when special orders or back-ordered items are received.
10) Assist P&A Manager with attaining retail sales plans in P&A.
11) Receive and process merchandise from distributors, check merchandise received against purchase invoice, log merchandise into inventory, and prepare product for showroom floor if required.
12) Conduct or participate in periodic physical inventory of all merchandise (counts, reports etc.
) 13) Assist with set-up, organization, and staging of special events such as open houses, of HOG activities, owners clinics, etc.
14) Ensure merchandise displays are stocked, clean, dust free, and appealing to customers.
15) Continuously maintain showroom product availability by stocking shelves and displays.
16) Greet each customer promptly, enthusiastically and with a smile.
Acknowledge each customer with a nod or a wave regardless of what you are in the middle of.
17) All customers are to be logged in our TMS (traffic management system) 18) Follow-up reminders must be set in TMS for any and all customer follow-up contacts required i.
e.
future purchase plans, back ordered parts follow-ups, Etc.
19) Provide prompt and accurate service on the cash register when required.
20) Ensure all charges are correct and check additions on all service orders if applicable.
21) Process all paperwork and maintain organization of all logs and files as required.
22) Receive payment for products and services rendered acquiring authorization for all credit cards, gift cards and check payments as outlined on the cashiering policy and procedure when and if required.
23) Initiate and maintain all related paperwork as required.
24) Maintain customer logs and inventory logs as required.
25) Assist accounting or other administrative assistants if and when required.
26) Answer all phone calls promptly, enthusiastically and with a smile as required.
27) Strive for team work and harmony with all departments and employees.
28) Establish and maintain a good working relationship with our customers to insure the highest level of customer satisfaction.

29) Handle any customer complaint promptly and fairly.
Get the Manager involved with any complaint you cannot resolve.
30) Ensure that all customer greeting, and cashiering areas are kept clean and well organized.
31) Observe all dealership rules and regulations.
32) Personal appearance and hygiene are imperative to personal success and customer satisfaction and a strict dress code will be observed.

4) Complete all assigned training and attend training sessions to keep current in P&A.

*QUALIFICATIONS AND JOB REQUIREMENTS:* 1) Must have ability to get along with broad customer base.
2) Knowledge and experience with servicing of Harley-Davidson motorcycles, and other products sold by the dealership, or the demonstrated ability to quickly learn them.
3) Knowledge of motorcycle front end, suspension, and engine components and the commitment to continually develop knowledge.
4) Ability to look up parts and quote prices for parts using proper catalogue for particular motorcycle and other products sold.
5) Schooling or experience in merchandising and retail sales preferred.
6) Experience with point-of-sale & computerized inventory systems or the ability to quickly learn.
Job Type: Full-time Pay: $13.
