At Crown Power & Equipment, our Agricultural Equipment Sales Representative is not only responsible for the selling of new and used equipment, but they are also a strategic business connection for our customer base.
By evaluating a customer's mechanical and technological applications, they are able to lay out a strategic plan for the customers future equipment needs.
The Agriculture Equipment Sales Representative is a primary point of contact for their customers which assists to build a strong foundation with our customers to continue our working relationship for years to come.
Essential Job Functions
Build and maintain strong business relationships with current and future customers in a defined sales area.
Know your product well and stay current on features and benefits.
Know your territory and the customers within it.
Acquire and maintain knowledge of used equipment values and be able to competently assess for trading purposes.
Monitor competitive products and activity.
Be aware of trends in your customers’ businesses.
Maintain current knowledge of financing options available to customers.
Conduct new equipment field demonstrations.
Work as a team not only within the sales department, but with other departments to consistently create a positive customer experience.
Requirements:
Excellent customer service skills and the ability to develop strong business relationships.
Ability to respond quickly, effectively, and professionally to demands and requests from customers and employees.
Ability to handle and resolve interpersonal conflict.
Strong negotiation skills.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to analyze and interpret sales reports.
Ability to multi-task and effectively manage time.
Intermediate-level computer skills, including the ability to learn new business systems and a working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
Must be self-disciplined and able to work independently.
Valid driver license and clean driving record.
Ability to work flexible hours.
Working knowledge of Agricultural Equipment
Preferred Qualifications
Ag equipment sales experience preferred
Candidate is required to successfully pass the pre-employment screenings which includes background check, pre-employment drug testing as well as driving record evaluation.
