General Maintenance
General Maintenance position is responsible for several duties at Jahabow Industries, including maintenance and repairs of production machinery and facility maintenance.
Knowledge of single and three phase electric, AC & DC control voltage, mechanical and pneumatic systems.
Performs preventive maintenance and repairs for automated and manual wood and metal working machines.
RESPONSIBILITIES
·· Responsible for general maintenance in production facility.
· Machine repairs and preventive maintenance.
· Facility and production machine repairs in areas of mechanical, electrical, plumbing, painting, etc.
· Requires knowledge of hand and power tools, mig welder, multimeterand measuring devices.
· Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within the field of machine and building maintenance.
· Performs a wide variety of tasks and exercises a certain degree of creativity and latitude.
· Other duties as assigned.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
· Education Required/Preferred: High School Graduate/GED.
Preferred technical training.
· Experience: 1 to 3 years preferred (or technical training).
· Requires knowledge of hand and power tool use.
· Knowledge of single and three phase electric, mechanical, pneumatic systems, plumbing and carpentry.
· HVAC preferred but not required.
· Preferred Skills/Qualifications: May have to complete an apprenticeship and/or formal training.
· Familiar with metal working and wood working processes.
· Skills/Competencies: Well, developed written communication and interpersonal skills; “Multi-tasker” with strong mechanical and analytical skills with attention to detail.
REQUIRED SKILLS
· Mechanical, pneumatic, and electrical systems with single and three phase power installation and trouble shooting skills.
· Trouble shooting automated controls consisting of PLC and CNC logic with AC and DC control voltage.
· Able to read pneumatic, hydraulic, and electric schematics and wiring diagrams.
· Welding, cutting and fabrication.
· Well developed written communication and interpersonal skills; “Multi-tasker” with strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
· Employee alternates between walking and standing while frequently completing tasks that require bending, climbing, reaching above shoulder level, kneeling, balancing, pushing and pulling, lifting and carrying.
· Employee lifts and carries objects weighing less than 100 lbs
